“The therapeutic nature of “The Arts” cannot be ignored. The passion and enthusiasm that Bonnie Neumann displays while working with children is incomparable and easily seen in the eyes and smiles of those that she mentors. Children of ALL skills levels should be able to create, perform, and feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their ability- Bonnie Neumann fosters just that!” January 28, 2011

Drama Interaction, Inc  501 (C) (3) non profit organization is a creative and performing arts program dedicated to fostering expression and empowerment of children with special needs.  Our non profit organization combines the unique talents and passions of performing artists and special education teachers.  Drama Interaction believes we each can be a star on life's stage if we focus on ability rather than disability.  Drama Interaction offers our artists a starring role on the stage of life!

Donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible to provide scholarships to children who may otherwise not have the opportunity to experience the ARTS.  Adaptive equipment, music, instruments, costumes, props, scripts are also needed for these programs.  Drama Interaction Staff teach throughout the Twin Cities area.  To donate, please click on the link below.  Thank you!

If your child is a bit "out-of-sync" and you're looking for a fun interactive similar group with peers, this is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child!  This is not a music therapy class but rather an exploration of the world of ARTS!  Our Teacher's are fun, flexible, loving and patient.  You and your child will find them a joy to work with.  We incorporate ASD-specific strategies such as Social Stories and Visual Schedules.  Our classes build self esteem, confidence, teach life long skills in communication, social skills, problem solving and more.

"Act-Teen Theater Program"  Older Teens and Young Adults!

The unique and specific need of children and young adults with autism to develop self-awareness, self-perception, and social recreational skills through recreational theater, dance, and movement will be addressed.  In the Company of Kids is a place where students not only relax and have fun in performing arts situations, but also learn through these experiences various social skills.  The medium of theater is a perfect vehicle through which to teach the power of non-verbal communication.  Theater is also a great way to create an understanding of context, double meanings, the give and take of social relationships and an improved theory of mind, the ability to take into account what others might think and/or know.
